The Connect app is free to download and use. In the future we plan to add an optional paid subscription called Connect Plus, which includes features such as the ability to host games, instant chat, access to join special events (eg game with famous streamers), priority game listings, and more.
For now, everyone has access to all the features of Connect Plus for free. At some point we will begin charging ~$5 per month for Connect Plus. We will give you warning before that begins, and switch everyone by default to the free plan.
